back | index | next Running FTP with Command Line ParametersThe 'xini' parameterYou can launch FTP with the 'xini' command line parameter: PATH\ftp.exe -xini <IniFilePath> where <IniFilePath> specifies a full path to a specific ini-file and PATH indicates your WinaXe Plus home directory. This feature allows you to run several FTP sessions each with its own ini-file (i.e. settings). In order to do so, you can create a new FTP shortcut (e.g., in the WinaXe Plus Programs' folder) and fill in the Target field in Properties of it with the command. For example, the Target field in Properties of the FTP shortcut might contain the following line: "PATH\ftp.exe" -xini myxwp1.ini By default, the field contains a call of FTP with no arguments, and the xwp.ini file will be used in this case. To create your specific ini-file, you can copy the xwp.ini file and then change required parameters with the FTP utility by starting it with the command line parameter. |
