back | index | next Running XSettings with Command Line ParametersThe 'xini' parameterYou can launch XSettings with the 'xini' command line parameter: PATH\xsetup.exe -xini <IniFilePath> where <IniFilePath> specifies a full path to a specific ini-file and PATH indicates your WinaXe Plus home directory. This feature allows you to run several XSettings sessions each with its own ini-file (i.e. settings). Note that you can launch XServer with different ini-files (see section Running XServer with Command Line Parameters in Chapter Using XServer). In order to do so, you can create a new XSettings shortcut (e.g., in the WinaXe Plus Programs' folder) and fill in the Target field in Properties of it with the command. For example, the Target field in Properties of the XSettings shortcut might contain the following line: "PATH\xsetup.exe" -xini myxwp1.ini By default, the field contains a call of XSettings with no arguments, and the xwp.ini file will be used in this case. To create your specific ini-file, you can copy the xwp.ini file and then change required parameters with XSettings by starting it with the command line parameter. Note: when launched from the XServer/Run menu, XSettings uses the same ini-file as XServer does. |
